Statement of Faith
We are a Baptist church cooperating with other churches as a part of the unified missionary efforts of the West Union Baptist Association, the Kentucky Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention. As a church, we affirm that the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 is an accurate statement of biblical truth.
✝️We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God and is the final standard for faith and life.
✝️We believe there is one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God created all things for His glory and lovingly rules over His creation.
✝️We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and will return again in power and glory.
✝️We believe all people are sinners by nature and choice and are separated from God apart from His grace. Salvation is found only through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
✝️We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace and includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and eternal life for all who trust in Christ.
✝️We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, empowers Christian living, and equips the church for ministry and witness.
✝️We believe the church is the body of Christ, made up of baptized believers who gather for worship, discipleship, fellowship, evangelism, and the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
✝️We believe marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for life and that every human life is sacred and created in the image of God.
✝️We believe Jesus Christ will personally return, the dead will be raised, and God will judge all people in righteousness. Believers will dwell eternally with the Lord, and unbelievers will face eternal separation from Him.
